Paracetamol, known also as acetaminophen, belongs to the group of non-opiate analgesics and antipyretics, i.e. it has analgesic and antipyretic action.
It is a drug of first choice for treatment of mild to moderate pain.
The advantage of paracetamol is that it does not damage or irritate the mucous membrane of the stomach and does not cause hemorrhage. It has no effect on the cardio-vascular system. It is safe to use for children.
The recommended daily dīses are 650-1000 mg every 6-8 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 g., which is 16 times higher than the dose contained in one Caffetin® tablet.
One Caffetin® tablet contains only 250 mg paracetamol.
